Brand New Bag(s).
I think it's pretty much safe to say, I've always been a bag lady. Below; some new scores (above, threads by Simone Camille). Now if I could only focus on finding some comfortable, sensible (yet still stylish) shoes. And more earrings...

Cleaning Out My Closet
"I'm so sorry mama, I didn't mean to make you cry but tonight I'm cleanin' out my closet..."
Marsh might've had other intentions for this lyric, but the only tears my mother will be crying will be ones of joy once I:
A. Make some much needed cash
B. Curb my hoarding tendency
C. Cut down to the bare necessities due to the fact that I'll be living in a shoe box next year.
These items will be up for your bidding pleasure shortly in my eBay shop; as well as this lovely number you can go bid on right this second! Sold!

All of my items are in like new condition and come from a smoke free home. If I said pet free I'd be lying, but my clothes are kept laundered at all times (and away from this cutie) so no worries.

Cut from the Same Cloth.
We are often told that life imitates art, but what about fashion imitating film? As proven by the photos below, it's been known to happen:

Nothing about me is by the book. I did not have a "traditional" or typical high school experience. Come June 4th, I will walk across a stage, clad in cap and gown, having never attended a prom.
For the past two years I traded in my formerly well thought out, painstaking ensembles for Target lounge wear. This freedom has led me to easy oven food, endless hours on Tumblr, and more America's Next Top Model benders then I care to recount. Just receiving my diploma in the mail is apparently unacceptable and I have been required, per tradition, to assemble, then walk across a stage (for under 30 seconds) with a bunch of strangers.

What's In A Bag?
Fashion bloggers are the celebrities of the digital age. We want to know everything about them; what they wear, who their friends are, but mostly, the question remains, what's in a bag? Specifically, the one on the arm of the girl we all wish we were.
Ella Wood, of Party Tights Tumblr fame isn't shy about spilling (first two images), literally. When her followers ask, she answers. People care about what she has to say: what her beauty regime consists of, which products are her favorites, what she's reading. In a world where shows like Gossip Girl portray a whole new breed of paparazzi (albeit, a bit extreme), Facebook "stalking" is common, Twitter is used for live TV commentary, and apps like Yelp and Foursquare track frequent check ins, it's almost impossible to not be a little curious. We are the new famous. We're noisier than ever. But that's okay, it looks good on us.

The Morning After
Since my go to girl, Lauren "Fashion Kitty" Messiah decided to pursue a career in styling, I now rely on Dana Weiss of Possessionista for all of my guilty pleasure TV show related fashion. She's always the first to ID what the ladies of Glee, Gossip Girl, and Pretty Little Liars wore on their respective latest installments; typically the night of or morning after the shows air. Quick, witty, and always just enough sarcasm thrown in for good measure, Dana keeps her posts short and just a touch snarky. I've even helped her out on a few occasions. The beginning of a beautiful friendship indeed. If you're nice, Dana may even decide for your outfit ID request to grace her blog's presence.
And show you her Tweets.
A reader who wished to remain anonymous posed a question to Dana regarding a certain Dianna's dress on tonight's "Rumors," Agron's, that is. Or Quinn Fabray's. Or Lucy's...

Look for Less: Miranda's Sex and the City Norma Kamali Red Siren Swimsuit
Miranda Hodges' famous red Norma Kamali swimsuit from the first Sex movie has found its much more affordable match. And while I'm usually a knockoff nay sayer, I can't see how dropping a C Note on a swimsuit is practical. This one, which comes with detachable straps (shown strapless below) won't hurt your wallet, and can be found here.

And also for larger ladies; the straps are thicker (and even more similar to the one in the film).
You can do a lot with that extra money; like get that much needed wax...
Happy Summer.

Somewhere.
Sofia Coppola's dreamy Somewhere (2010) is the story of a washed up actor and part time father (Stephen Dorff) and his charming eleven year old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning). Fanning's attire throughout the film is both age appropriate, yet reminiscent of another era. Cleo fancies a muted color palette, mostly comprised of stripes; different colors and widths. I was immediately drawn in by her understated glamour, as well as the hazy imagery of the Chateau Marmont.

Crate and Inspiration
![]() |
| "Darling, I don't know how to tell you this but...there's a Chinese family in our bathroom." |
Every time I walk into a home improvement store of any kind, my mind automatically flashes back to that IKEA scene in 500 Days of Summer. Caught up in the moment, Summer and Tom frolic through the store, acting out caricatures of life as a married couple.
Fashion inspiration can come from the most unlikely places. Exhibit A: Crate and Barrel. Unlike IKEA and Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel is bearable. Interior decorating is just like styling, you're decorating a room instead of a person, but a lot of the process is similar: making sure everything fits in the space, color and pattern cordination...etc.
